St Michael
the Archangel
Council 9590
Council #9590 was founded in 1987 through the efforts of the parish pastor Fr. Michael Cunnane and Parishioner Ray Olvera.
About Us
**Celebrating the Legacy of Worthy Reverend Fr Michael Cunnane, Worthy Knight Ray Olvera, and Our Vibrant Council**
We are proud to honor the legacy of our council’s first Chaplain and first Grand Knight (GK), whose leadership and dedication laid the foundation for our thriving community. Our Council, named after St. Michael the Archangel, which embodies the spirit of protection, service, and unwavering faith.
We work closely with Guardian Angels Catholic Church, fostering a strong bond with our parish. Our members are actively involved in parish life, providing volunteer labor and funds for various projects, and sponsoring numerous social events that bring our community together.
As needs arise, whether locally or globally, our parishioners are always ready to lend a helping hand. Our local Knights are a beacon of support, stepping in to assist with yard work, basic home repairs for the elderly and shut-ins, and other essential services. This spirit of generosity and service is at the heart of everything we do.
Join us in celebrating the remarkable contributions of our members and the enduring legacy of Worthy Knight Olvera. Together, we continue to make a positive impact, guided by faith, fellowship, and a commitment to serving others.

We Raise Funds
You will be informed in first-to-mid-December each year of an annual contribution effort. A PROMPT remittance will be appreciated.
If you, or you know a brother, are facing a financial hardship, please don’t hesitate to reach out, and advise the Grand Knight (GK) or the Financial Secretary (FS).
A membership card for the new calendar year will be issued – please sign the card
We rely heavily on raising this contribution fund to help pay recurring operating expenses
Even if your schedule does not permit you to get as involved with the council as much as you would like to, realize that raising these funds keeps us in “Good Standing” (which may include continued access to fraternal benefits), and helps your brothers continue their on-going good works supporting a broad scope of charitable activities
Help Grow the Order
We have a moral obligation to invite every eligible Catholic man to join the Knights of Columbus ® (KofC) and it is easier/ quicker now by using Online (kofc.org/join us)
Encourage a non-member to take part in a council activity – they will experience the joy of giving to others and the feeling that comes when making a difference in someone else’s life
By making the Knights stronger, you help make your parish and community stronger
Not on numbers alone though do we rely, but on the spirit of a common purpose
